2024 Saddle Repair Price list
- Shop Rate is $55 an hour
- Prices are subject to change without notice.
- All saddles that come in for repair will be inspected for worn or weak areas
- Repairs and replacements will be done on both sides of saddle
- Saddles not picked up within 60 days of completion will be sold
Skirts
Replacing the skirts on a saddle is major surgery. First all of the removable parts are removed to access the skirts.
while the saddle is broken down, I inspect all of the parts for wear or damage. These are the things you might not see as an end user. Wear and tear on various parts could lead to serious injury to either you or your horse!
Next, the skirt leather is removed from the underlying sheepskin or synthetic. Then all of the saddle parts are washed, oiled and conditioned. The replacement material be it sheepskin or synthetic is glued to the perimeter of the skirts. Both sides are then stitched together and once this is accomplished, the saddle is then put back together.

Horn
- Recover Horn -$300.00
- Re-Stitch Horn $55.00 and up
- Wrap Horn with mule hide, elk, latigo, or chrome elk horn wrap-$165.00
Fenders
- New fenders (Rough out or smooth) $250.00/pair
- Replace Rivets or Lacing-$25.00
Stirrup Leathers
- 2 ½” Half Length Stirrup Leather-$130.00

Other Repairs
- Complete saddle inspection, break down, clean and oil $285.00
- Clean and oil (NOT removing skirts) $175.00
- Replace tree $1350 and up, plus the cost of tree
- Restring Saddle with waxed treated saddle strings-$25 per string (if strings go through tree will be charged by shop rate time)
- New swell cover $290 and up
- New Rope Strap $45 for buckle style (replaceboth buckle and strap).
